User Options

This area enables you to set up additional users of the administration facilities, with restricted access privileges if required.

Adding a new user

In the current system users menu you are given access to add a new user, by selecting the Add user button. This will take you to the add user screen in which you can enter the new user name, password and privileges.

Editing the User

From the drop down selection list (which by default will include a system administrator admin) any user can be selected and displayed for privilege editing, password changing, or complete removal, by clicking the 'edit' button below the selected user name. The only option for the admin user is to change the password.

User Passwords

When editing users, the user name will be greyed out, however, you can still modify the user password. Passwords are case sensitive.

Operational Tip: We recommend that passwords be changed on a monthly basis, they are not "flip-flopped" (two passwords alternated), and that a mixture of letters and numbers be used.
Forgotten Passwords
If the have forgot your password contact your system administrator to be allocated a new one, however if the system administrator forgets the entry password you will need to contact your TecknaShop provider to re-initialise the system admin user.

User Privileges

When the Edit user screen is displayed, simply check/un-check the appropriate boxes for the privileges required for the user in question. Selection of the system administrator from the drop down list will automatically assign "global" privileges, which can then be edited. Users can also have their access privileges withdrawn temporarily by un-checking the user active box.

When additions/modifications have been made, simply click the Update button at the foot of the screen.

Deleting a User

In the current system users menu select the user that you wish to delete, once selected click on the Delete button. When deleting, a confirm checkbox is displayed in order to avoid accidental deletions. This box needs to be checked before the delete button becomes effective.
Note: You cannot delete the system administrator and you cannot delete yourself.
